Demonetization is defined as the act of stripping a currency unit of its status as legal tender. Since the announcement of Demonetization, the Indian economy has been fluctuating in terms of increase in Inflation, increased GDP rate and an increase in the rate of imports and exports. While sectors such as real estate, microfinance, retail, banking, fashion, gems and jewelry, infrastructure, transport logistics run on cash, witnessed a negative impact. Airlines industry also saw a negative impact on inbound travel. Automobile industry saw a decline in sales, expected to see the normal phase in coming days.
