What are the pros and cons for using social networking sites at the work place?

Social networking in today’s generation is one of the useful resources and almost everyone is using these sites everyday for some or the other reason. Companies make this social networking available in the office to allow employees to share information with one another throughout the day or while away from the office and to build relationships with one another. Websites such as facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn offer free advertising and other benefits for a company or business. This social networking is useful and there are also some disadvantages of using this social networking at the work place. Here are some pros and cons for using social networking sites at the work place.
Pros of using social networking sites:
• Usage of social networking will facilitate to have an open communication which will in turn lead to enhanced discovery of information and delivery
• Employees can share their views, post news, can ask questions and share links
• Helps to increase business contacts, reputation and client base with minimum usage of advertising
• This will help the employers to learn more about the potential and current employees
• Will help the employees to share the information between them
• Companies can promote their business online without paying any money for advertising
• Employees can gather information which will help them to perform their duties well
Cons of using social networking sites:
• Excess usage of social networking sites like facebook, twitter etc will decrease the productivity because many of them compulsively use and check facebook account to check their wealth of application, games and status updates.
• When employees use social media for chatting, there is also a risk of releasing confidential and proprietary information because employees may inadvertently post status message and tweet about their company’s promotions or business information that is restricted to be released publicly
• Usage of facebook can hurt the relationships of the employees within a company
• When companies use social networking sites for internal communication, most of the employees instead of conversing about the work they may go for off-task conversation
• There is a possibility of hackers to commit fraud and introduce virus attack
• There is a chance that employees may pass negative comments about the company or may lead to potential legal consequences if the employees use these sites to view objectionable, illicit and offensive material
Usage of social networking at the work place has become essential but there should be some restrictions for using this social networking, because too much usage of social networking will decrease the productivity which will in turn bring huge loss to the company. Therefore companies have to educate their employees in proper usage of social networking and should adopt an appropriate policy for employees for using social media in the office.

Are you going to resign your job? Here are some tips to write an effective Resignation Letter

Employees quit their current job due to some or the other reason and they have to submit a resignation letter while quitting their current job. Resignation letter should be very professional and should express a desire to leave the job. Writing a resignation letter is a bit tough because it’s not all about the intent and message. One may have no other choice but to leave the job, at this point of time resignation letter should be written in a positive tone should also be direct and straight forward, because you never know you might have to work with same people in future. This is also a way to maintain a positive relationship with the old employer. Here are some tips to be followed while writing a resignation letter:
• Addressing personally: Start the letter by addressing your reporting authority with his/her name and this is very important. Addressing your boss in a respectful manner may make your way easy and also don’t forget to attach a copy of your resignation to the HR.
• Mention the exact reason for resigning: Don’t beat around the bush; rather cut straight and mention the exact reason for what made you quit the job, but see that you are not rude and hurting anybody’s emotions. You might have had a tough time with your boss or within the company. Whatever may be the reason, you should not make them feel guilty by putting all your past before him/her in the letter. Remember that you should never write anything negative or bad about your colleagues, your boss or about the company.
• Be precise: It is important that your letter should be precise and to the point. Don’t forget to thank the employer and do mention about the facilities offered to you. Clearly mention the date when you want to relieve.
• Mention notice period: Each and every company has a rule that the employee has to serve for 60 days after his/her resignation, because the employer has to find a replacement for that particular position. Therefore clearly mention adequate notice period. Do not rush and serve the company after you submit your resignation.
• Mention responsibilities held by you: You may be one among the thousands of employees and your boss may not know who you are and what responsibilities you held within the company, during your employment. Therefore clearly mention all the responsibilities that you held. Mention if any deadlines to meet, offer to extend smooth support and knowledge transfer whenever needed.
• Proofread the letter: You may have written everything correctly, but don’t forget to proofread it before sending to your boss or HR. Resignation letter will be retained by the employer, so it should be very professional.

Topics that you must avoid discussing at the workplace

About the boss and the company: When things go wrong between employee and boss, employee starts bad mouthing his/her boss before their co-workers. This is not good and this may lead to employee’s termination. Instead, it is better to stand up and admit your fault. What so ever may happen, but one should always talk positive about the company and about the boss.

Wisdom IT Services India Pvt. Ltd – UNPROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE

This is regards to an unprofessional ,unethical behavior and humiliating experience I ,Dr Mehul Shah, has had with MR HANUK, from wisdom jobs .  I have been a client in the past and got my and my wife CV done up by your agency and thought will get a call offers from companies, unfortunately I instead of waiting patiently called MR Hanuk for job vacancies.  He called back first sounding professional but as soon as i told him I will need time to decide on his expensive service($150), he turned hostile towards me .Alleging I was the one that had called him up for vacancies and now i am not taking up his service……… Again rudely called me back alleging that i Hung up on him and promptly alleged me on the way i would treat patients , having no clue of what he is talking and trying to defame me and my profession. I was appalled at that behavior not only that he called up and hung up on my face saying he was unhappy for me not immediately accepting his service.  Well we all know that these agency only make money from the employer and employee being the middle man,BUT THIS UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR IS not what any client wants , definitely time to think ultimately its money here we are talking.  I am not going to take this , it will be dealt in a more serious manner.

Important things you must carry for an interview

It is also suggested that not to carry too much of stuff for the interview and make yourself look silly. Rather talk smart, have a smile on your face and be confident, as these will finally help you in cracking an interview.

is Wisdomjobs & Wisdomjobsgulf.com are FAKE?

Yes absolutely they are fake & fraud....
If you get any call from wisdomjobs.com and asking for any paid service just ignore them. They're really doing fraud and playing with people emotions.

As per my research, they're not having any original jobs. They're copying jobs from Naukri.com.

Do you know what they are saying about their portal - they're considering themselves as a unique 4th generation job portal.

My words: Wisdomjobs is useless portal & Fraud.

Note:

If Wisdom jobs is asking money for paid services? Don't pay any money, they will not provide any service and if you call them they will not give any response.

Wisdomjobsgulf.com also owned by Wisdomjobs.com - This company more worst in Gulf comparing to India.

They're calling the candidates in Gulf and they're saying that if you pay 200$, we will send you direct offer letter. They fooled most of the people in GULF. If the candidates call to wisdomjobs they will not pick the phone and will not give any response to them

WISDOMJOBS IS FRAUD COMPANY, +VE REVIEWS MAY BE FAKE

It is a complete fraud company because it may possible executive of a company are fraud. but if company give no response on there customer care emails then what?

NO REPLY TO EMAILS. No one is picking my PHONE. Executive is not responding not on phone and not by email.

I got a call from wisdom jobs stating that his name is from Mr.Prasanth through phone number 040-42242456 and asked for paid services. I said I am not interested and asked for the reason. I said I don't believe in these things and he asked me why you have registered with our company and I said to delete my account. he said to delete for my self. he does not have minimum manners to talk to the customers. It is my interest to join in paid services or not. who the hell is that to speak to me like that. If you people are still interested in keeping that guy it is up to you. My friends who are all seeing my comments please do not register with this portal. I am opting out of this portal right now.

Fraud Company & Bunch of Thieves

This is my review.a rather disgruntled, disgusted review.

It's a company with no ethics, no escalations & nil professionalism.

There are two people viz., Lekhya Burugupalli & Guruprasad Mishra, who call themselves the face of the company. They would call you atleast three times a day, till the time you buy their products and thereafter would not even bother to attend to your calls or reply to your mails. Even if you they do, they have standard answers "We have already shared your resume with all those companies who has empaneled with us. Once they like your profile they themselves call you for the rest of the process".

This is a total farce, because they never give the details or even the names of the companies. They just disown the candidate and wait for the'90 working' days time to elapse.

Total fraud company and bunch of thieves. Sincerely wish nobody falls into the trap.

Wisdomjobs sucks. It is one of the worst job portals ever. They just try to loot money from you in the name of various exams and lists and what not. Never received a single useful info from their side. I don't think any employer is using their services.

They suck so much that their representative even manage to hack and edit this review which was originally posted as a negative review. Some one then somehow edited my review and wrote good things about Wisdom jobs. As a result, this review got marked as fake. Completely avoid wisdom jobs.

All the positive reviews mentioned in mouthshut.com are FAKE. They paid for Mouthshut to write positive reviews.

You can check more complaints at complaintboard.in and you can confirm yourself and take decision before paying any money to wisdomjobs.com

BEWARE OF WISDOMJOBS.COM - IT'S FAKE & FRAUD COMPANY.

Think twice before paying money to wisdomjobs.com

Instead of paying money to wisdomjobs and wasting money, do any course with that money and gain knowledge on other technologies.
